In which I answer a reader’s queries. (Grin.)

Or how about all the animals you’ve had in your life?

I’ve had five animals so far, six if you count my parent’s sweet lab Jake. Tiger was first, a cranky warrior tom-cat. He ran away and I never saw him again. Next was Nippy, the dog love of my life, Jake (if we are counting him) the dog who could read, Charley the drooling corgi, Buster the beautiful stray cat who only lived a year, and Earl, the next doggie love of my life.

Or how many roller coasters you’ve ridden in your life?

I have ridden three, count ‘em, three roller coasters in my life. The first, a kiddie coaster at a local carnival, the second was the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens, and the last was the coaster at the Ocean City, Maryland inlet. And that was about fifteen years ago.

Or what the first book was that you remember reading?

Oddly, I have no memory of a first book.

Is there a book that has touched you particularly?

The Power of One.

If there was a fire in your house, what is the one thing other than animals and your hubby that you would have to take with you and why?

My computer, because it has every photograph I’ve taken on it.

What’s your favorite color and why?

Blue, sky blue. Because it reminds me of being outside as a kid and staring up at the sky as I rode my bike.

Have you ever cussed in front of your parents?

Oh, yes. Most recently was October, when I had a rental car. I was taking them someplace and a person tried to pull into us and I was frantically beating the steering wheel in an attempt to blow the horn. I never did find it, but I did come out with, “Where the fuck’s the horn???!!!”

I was under duress.

What’s your favorite story to tell others about either yourself or someone else?

Anything funny. I like to tell funny stories, but it’s even better if you get the right audience.
