Fire and…whaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

Today, driving in to work, the radio played James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain”.

I like this song very much. It’s a beautiful song.

However, it has the unwanted side effect of making me cry. Always. Not choked up, it doesn’t bring a tear to my eye, it makes me bawl. If it happens to play in a store, I have to leave. Because I will cry, and I don’t want the clerks wondering why and who is this weirdo snuffling into the merchandise.

So there I was, driving and a crying, not wanted to change the station because I really do like the song, but not wanting to get to work with a red nose and runny mascara, either.

I was trapped.

For three minutes or so, I was trapped.

The next song was “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Whew.

So, here’s my question. Is there any song in particular that makes you cry? Because I know I can’t be the only one. Share!

Here’s your hat, what’s your hurry?

Yesterday afternoon I had something I have not had for a long time.

Hope.

I think it had ebbed away so slowly I did not notice its passing until it, oh so briefly, came back.

For about an hour I was able to believe that there might be a medication that will work for me, or that perhaps there is a person who can help me help myself.

It was nice while it was here.

Stuff and Things.

A large thank you to everyone who took the time to say a kind word. Whether it was for de-lurking, or to pat me on the back and tell me everything will be ok, it was appreciated.

THANK YOU!
