I don’t have time for stupid people.

Mrsatroxi read a few things today that, quite frankly, pissed her off.

She has since decided to write a few scathing remarks on her blog.

M’kay?

If you don’t care for something that is a “classic”, or that is well recognised as genius, that’s fine. Folks are allowed to not like things. I don’t like Whistler. However, I do recognise that many people love his work, I know that he was a genius. I don’t poke fun at his painting, make derogatory remakes about his brushwork or dismiss his choice of subject. Do you know why? Because I realise that I wouldn’t know what I was talking about. I would sound ignorant because I would be acting ignorantly.

To go on and on about how awful something is, that many, many people love, and many, many intelligent people agree is wonderful, just because you think you have a new thought, or are being rebellious, or clever, is actually moronic and juvenile. It’s fine if you don’t like it, great! Don’t like it. But don’t make the mistake of classing it, and everyone that does like it, as stupid.

Because immediate condemnation of something you don’t understand is much more mindless than that work of genius you can’t tolerate.

Dummy.

Clicky, clicky.

I’ve finally gone and done something I told myself I’d never do.

I’m linking to some folk’s personal blogs.

I hope everyone enjoys the new links. These are the folks I read. Well, some of ‘em.

(And if you don’t want to be mentioned here, just make with the askin’.)

If I Only Had an Uzi….

Dear Citizens of Sucksbury:

Although I realize how extremely similar they are, the horn attached to the mechanism of your car and a residential doorbell are not the same thing.

Please update your shared braincell accordingly.

Thank you.
